High pressure in the western Atlantic is keeping us dry throughout the entire southeast this morning, but as the wind pushes over the NC mountains, we're seeing some clouds build. Cloud cover is filtering into the foothills and portions of the Upstate a bit, so we're expecting to see partly cloudy skies through the day, with mostly cloudy skies in the mountains. Enough sunshine should break through to get us into the low-mid 80s, with only an isolated shower/storm possible in the mountain areas. Heading into Wednesday and Thursday, we break out the full sunshine once again, with a few passing clouds in the mountains. Temperatures remain in the low-mid 80s. Thursday is looking to be another dry day with mostly sunshine, and highs in the low 80s for the mountains, moving into the upper 80s for the Upstate.
