Boca Raton mom victim of armed robbery

BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - A woman, who took her two children to a park in Boca Raton, was robbed near City Hall, according to police.

The armed robbery, according to police, took place on Tuesday, June 4 after 7 p.m.

Investigators say the woman was at Memorial Park on Crawford Boulevard with her two children when she noticed two men staring at her. The woman decided to take her children and leave the park. Police says the suspects followed her along Palmetto Park Road to SW 3rd Ave.

Police says that when the men caught up to her and her children, one of the suspects ripped a gold necklace off her neck and ran north on SW 3rd Avenue, then east on SW 3rd Street. The victim lost sight of them heading south on SW 1st Avenue along the railroad tracks.
