A front has parked itself across the Carolinas and Georgia, and that is going to act as a focus and pipeline for showers and storms... one after another after another...
The good news is that our severe threat is not very high, but a few storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and lightning. The main threat will be pockets of heavy rain, and training of storms (when storms move over the same location over and over). There's a lot of moisture in the atmosphere that these storms will squeeze out. I don't think it's a widespread flood threat, but a few spots could see minor flooding over the next 3 days.
It won't be terribly hot, but the mugginess factor will make it feel pretty oppressive outside. Dew points are near 70, which indicates very humid air and air that is "juiced up" and ready to build up storms.
Our best chance for rain will be from now to late day Tuesday, then we'll have scattered storm potential for the rest of the week. Chances will go down from about 70% Mon-Tue, to 30% WEd-Fri.
Hope you had a great Father's Day weekend!!! Glad the weather cooperated for Saturday and Sunday :)
