PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (WFLX)-- Timothy McCabe, a missing Lake Worth attorney, turned himself in at FBI headquarters in West Palm Beach, according to FBI officials.
According to the criminal complaint against McCabe he secretly took millions from his law firm's bank accounts.
Smailian & McCabe have been the principals at McCabe & Samiljan, a law firm based in Lake Worth, for approximately seventeen years.
Samiljan indicated in a federal complaint that during the weeks leading up to McCabe's disappearance, he had been displaying signs of financial stress.
The FBI filed a criminal complaint against McCabe on Wednesday charging him with wire fraud and fraud on a financial institution.
McCabe faces up to 30 years in jail for each count . He also faces up to $250,000 or twice the value of the loss whichever is greater for each count. And up to 5 years supervised release and a special assessment as to each count.
