LOXAHATCHEE, FL (WFLX) - Fire destroyed a house in Loxahatchee on 87th Lane N. Monday morning.
At 5:41 a.m., Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews responded to the call in the 17700 block of 87th Lane N.
PBCFR
Public Information Officer Capt. Albert Borroto says the first arriving
crews found a fully involved home with the roof already collapsed.
There is no indication that there was anyone in the home at the time of the fire. There were no reported injuries.
The
fire was so involved and so hot the division chief says fire crews
couldn't go inside; they worked to keep the fire from spreading or
reaching neighboring homes.
According to a sheriff's deputy, the
owner of the home is Amy Weiss. She owns two homes in the area and
currently lives out of state. She has not spoken publicly about the
fire. She says someone was renting the home and she has not yet been
able to speak to the tenant.
