WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - How could you not love this face? Well, evidently someone didn't because this cute little pooch was seen being thrown out of a moving tan Buick box truck on the 700 block of Highland Drive in West Palm Beach Wednesday afternoon.
"If anyone sees this type of vehicle and can connect this type of vehicle with a dachshund mix type of dog, that's anywhere from 3-6 years old, then it would be great if they could call us," said Dianne Sauve the Director of PBC Animal Control.
"He will be up for adoption," she continued. "There is already a significant interest in people adopting this dog. And he is quite adorable. So the question we have is: 'Why would someone throw a dog like this out?'"
And you may not even recognize these two guys: Boss and King. We showed you them back in May when they nearly starved to death in Belle Glade. They have since made a miraculous recovery and are up for adoption. "We got there. And the dogs that were in the shed, there were two that were living and one that was dead. The two that were alive were just absolute skeletons. It's a really disturbing case because right outside this shed was a huge unopened container of dog food."
The owner of the house was charged with felony animal cruelty. "The attitude is, it's not my dog. It's someone else's dog. And the reality and the law is if that animal is on your property and you live at that property, you're responsible for that animal."
These two dogs are like brothers now -- having a special bond. Animal control would prefer them staying together.
If you want to adopt these pups or see any kind of animal abuse, call the Palm Beach County Animal Control Office at 561-233-1200.
