NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

An ongoing investigation into the heroin drug trade in Nashville has netted 10 more arrests, Metro police announced Thursday.

Douglas Phillip Logan, James Callis and Nathan Foutch were accused of taking money from heroin customers in south Nashville parking lots, exchanging that money in a Brentwood parking lot for drugs, then returning with the drugs to hand over to the customers.

Police said the men with whom the suspects were meeting in Brentwood, Rodriguez Rafael Lopez and Antwan Gomez-Flores, are believed to be tied to a larger heroin organization with roots in Mexico.

Logan, 30, and Callis, 32, both of Ashland City, as well as Foutch, 34, of La Vergne, are each charged with two counts of possessing heroin for resale. Logan's bond was set at $100,000, while Callis' bond is $55,000 and Foutch's bond is $42,000.

Lopez, 32, and Gomez-Flores, 26, both of Belmont Boulevard in Nashville, are each charged with engaging in a heroin distribution conspiracy. Their bond was set at $20,000 each.

The identities of the other five suspects have not been released.

In addition to the arrests, police seized 38 grams of black tar heroin, three vehicles, $11,705 in cash and assorted drug paraphernalia used to inject heroin.
