Petal(s) from the floral embellishment on the blankets can detach, posing a choking hazard to infants. The company has received six reports of petals detaching from the garment, including one report of an infant found gagging on a detached petal.
The affected product is a white, 100% cotton HALO SleepSack wearable blanket with pink-edged ruffles and a pink satin rose embellishment on the chest, available in small and medium sizes.
No other styles of HALO SleepSack products are affected by this recall.
Affected products can be identified by the following GPU numbers, found on a neck label under the primary neck label: 2701, 2781, 2886, 2887, 3007, 3035, and 3142.
Consumers who have this product should immediately discontinue use of the wearable blanket and contact HALO Innovations, Inc. for instructions regarding removing and returning the satin floral embellishment and receiving a free replacement product.
