Driver identified in early morning fatal crash

HYPOLUXO, FL (WFLX) - A 27-year-old Boynton Beach woman was killed Friday morning when she crashed her sport utility vehicle on Interstate 95 at Hypoluxo Road.

The fatal crash closed the northbound entrance ramp in the area for about three hours.

The driver was identified as Kristie Nicole Tamburri.

Tamburri's vehicle was traveling north on I-95 when she veered to the right and lost control around 5 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.  The SUV left the interstate on the east shoulder and overturned.

Tamburri was pronounced dead at the scene.  The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.

The road reopened around 8:15 a.m.
