MANALAPAN, FL (WFLX)--Ten people are in custody after authorities said a group of illegal migrants came ashore early Thursday morning in Palm Beach County.
Officials said the migrants made land around 2 a.m. in Manalapan.
Authorities believe the people came ashore near the Boynton Inlet on a 23-foot boat that was registered in the Bahamas.
Among the 10 people in custody, three are from Haiti, two are from Ecuador and two are from Colombia.
Authorities are still searching for the smugglers.
Border patrol and deputies with the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office are patrolling on the land and in the air, while Coast Guard is searching the water for the other migrants.
Residents are urged to call police if they see anything suspicious.
