WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Dozens gathered in our Fox 29 studios for the "Light the Night" kickoff Tuesday.
Organizers, sponsors and cancer survivors are getting ready for the annual Leukemia and Lymphoma walks that take place in Palm Beach County.
September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month. "Leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers effect over a million people which is one of the reasons why we fundraise daily to help find a cure and fund research," said Tracy Navakas, Senior Campaign Director for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The first walk will take place in West Palm Beach on November 8. The second will be in Boca Raton on November 16.
The evening features refreshments, live entertainment and a kid's zone. To sign up or to donate you can visit the Light the Night Web site.
