Investigators: Boyfriend of woman killed in Riviera Beach arrested

RIVIERA BEACH, FL (WFLX) - An arrest has been made in connection with a deadly Riviera Beach shooting.

Update, THU 1 PM: Wednesday afternoon, shortly after 4 p.m., police were called to the 600 block of West 36th St for a shooting.

Officers discovered 21-year-old Dominique Flood who died at the scene.

Flood, according to investigators, was the girlfriend of Alex Brinkley.

Police say U. S. Marshals caught up with Brinkley Thursday morning.

They say he was found at a relative's home on Breckenridge Place in West Palm Beach.

Officers say that Brinkley tried to flee, but was caught after a short chase.

His charges include a felon in possession of a firearm and 2nd degree murder with a firearm.

Previously: Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Riviera Beach.

Police spokeswoman Rose Anne Brown has confirmed officers are on the scene of a homicide at 610 West 36th Street.

The victim is an adult female, Brown said.

She said that at this time investigators don't have any information about a suspect.
