Suspects connected to PSL woman's murder caught

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - Two people considered persons of interest in the recent death of a Port St. Lucie woman were arrested at a Broward County hotel Sunday night.

Deputies said David Weingrad and Georgia Scordamaglia confessed to their involvement in the death of Alisa Kerman, who was found dead in her home last week.
According to the arrest affidavit, Weingrad and Kerman had gotten into a big argument the day before.
Detectives say while Kerman slept Thursday morning, Weingrad took a hammer he used to secure bounce houses in the ground and struck Kerman in the head three times with it.
Detectives tracked cell phone pings into Broward County from Alisa Kerman's cell phone that put them on track to finding the suspects.
Kerman's stolen pickup truck was found across from the motel where Weingrad and Scordamaglia were staying and is in the custody of the Port St. Lucie Police Department.
A stolen handgun was also recovered.
The pair were arrested on charges of first-degree murder and taken to the Broward County Jail.
Port St. Lucie police will hold a press conference on Monday morning to discuss the case.
