Unusually high tides seen across S FL this fall

(WFLX) - A warning if you are heading to the beach any time soon: Unusually high tides will be seen across South Florida this fall.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says tides are predicted to be at their highest Monday through November 15 and then December 3 through 6. High tide could be 7 to 10 inches above average.

Extreme tide events can impact drainage systems and cause flooding in low-lying areas.
