Custody decision made in Lindsey murder case

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - The oldest of three daughters left orphaned after the deaths of her parents will become the guardian of the youngest child.

Lawyers for the Lindsey family have confirmed to Fox 29 Sarah Lindsey was appointed the guardian of Savannah by a Palm Beach County judge.

Sarah, 20, Sofia, 18, and Savannah, 16, are dealing with the murder of their mother Kimberly and the overdose death of their father Albert Lambert.

Kimberly's body was found in a cane field in Hendry County. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said her ex-husband was the top suspect in her murder before he died from an overdose.

A divorce between Lindsey and Lambert had been final since February. Yet just two days before investigators said Lindsey was killed, she and her ex-husband had a tense exchange during a court appearance.

The contentious words occurred during an evidentiary meeting regarding late child support payments.

Crime scene investigators said a a violent confrontation happened at the Palm Beach Gardens home where Kimberly Lindsey lived after which her body was removed and taken to the remote area where it was discovered.

A probable cause affidavit reveals Lambert bought a .22 caliber gun recently, and tests showed that Kimberly Lindsey was shot with the same size gun.
A memorial service for Kimberly Lindsey is planned for Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Christ Fellowship South Campus on Northlake.

A trust fund has been set up for Lindsey's three daughters. Anyone who wants to contribute can send a check or money order to: Daughters of Kimberly Lindsey Trust to Mitchell Kitroser PA, 8895 N Military Trail, Suite C-201, Palm Beach Gardens 33410 or on line, using PayPal, at
