State Senate may kill the "no-fault" insurance plan

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Talks continue Tuesday in our state Senate over changes that could save drivers hundreds of dollars a year.

Florida drivers must carry $10,000 of personal injury protection coverage which pays for injuries no matter who's at fault in a collision.

But our news partners at "The Palm Beach Post" report the state Senate is talking about killing the no-fault insurance plan that's been in place since the 1970s.

The system was dropped in Colorado, and drivers there have since saved 35 percent overall on their bills.
