MIAMI (WFLX) - Miami Dolphins lineman Richie Incognito remains the focus of a NFL probe into bullying, but now there are allegations that may involve Dolphin coaches.
Reportedly, Incognito focused his attention on fellow player Jonathan Martin because coaches had asked him to toughen Martin up.
Incognito is on indefinite suspension.
Boca Raton's High School football coach Jeff Dellenbach played in the NFL with the Dolphins for 10 years. He says playful bullying is part of the game on the field and in the locker room.
He has a hard time believing Incongnito allegedly took it so far with no one else knowing. "I think, that's kind of surprising because you spend so much time with each other in a controlled environment -- usually your teammates and coaches know everything about you and what is going on," he said. "That is what is so strange, that it got to this point without anyone having a clue."
Dellenbach says he has handled a few bullying cases in his first year as coach at Boca Raton High School. He says usually as soon as you call players out, they stop.
