(RNN) - The tarp has been taken off The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack.

iTunes is streaming the new album a week before it releases on Nov. 19, just three days ahead of the movie's release.

The album features an array of haunting tunes by Coldplay, Of Monsters and Men, Lorde, Ellie Goulding and The National, among others. And if we do say so ourselves, it's mighty good.

The artists themselves are fans of the series and were asked to submit demos of songs inspired by the Catching Fire book.

"We basically said, 'Here are the rules: You're going to send in a demo and we may ping-pong it with you to craft it, but once that demo is approved you are free to use whoever you want and do whatever you want. Send it back to us and we'll work with you on the mix,' music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas told Billboard. "I think a lot of the bands were excited about the autonomy we gave them on the production side."

Earbuds in. Smile on.

It's 11:11. Make a wish.

If you wished for a new Jordin Sparks album, sorry, we can't help you there, but fans of the American Idol Season 6 winner have a new track to pump at full blast into their earbuds.

Sparks dropped a legitimate slow jam of an R&B song on Soundcloud on Monday.

Sultry and minimalistic, 11:11 (Wish) features wispy, delicate vocals reminiscent of Aaliyah.

To quote the great Randy Jackson, Sparks "can sing the phonebook, dawg."

Hear the track at https://soundcloud.com/jspeezy-1/11-11-wish.

We can only hope this means a follow up to 2009's Battlefield is on the way.

Mariah Carey releases gospel-tinged song

The queen of ballads is now trying to become the queen of gospel? Well, not quite. But close.

Mariah Carey released a gospel-tinged song, titled The Art of Letting Go, on Facebook earlier this week.

"This is such a personal record to me," Carey wrote on her Facebook page. "I wrote the lyrics so that anyone and everyone could relate to them and hopefully release anything that they need to let go of that's holding them back or bringing them down."

According to Mimi, she has a very personal relationship with her fans which contributed to the single being released on the popular social media site.

Carey explained in a recent interview with Fuse that she thought the idea of releasing the single via social media was "genius" because her fans worldwide would be able to access it.

"I've always had a special relationship with my fans. It's not like, 'Oh, here comes the new world of the internet, let me figure out how to adapt myself into this,'" Carey said.

The Art of Letting Go is the second single released and the title track of Carey's upcoming 14th album. The first single released was called #Beautiful, which you can listen to here.

Lady Gaga to be first recording artist to sing in space; sports flying dress

Hold on to your hats people, because in a couple of years Lady Gaga is taking her act to a whole new galaxy. That's right, in 2015 Gaga will be making history as the first recording artist to sing in space.

Gaga announced on Sunday that her outer space singing adventure is part of an event called Zero G Colony, which according to its Facebook page, will be a "three-day festival from the future." And that's about all they say, the website is a bit ... mysterious.

Gaga made her rather large announcement at what she called ARTRAVE, aka the ARTPOP release party, and then she hopped onto a "flying dress" - or actually, a hovercraft with a plastic dress-like cover on the front of it.

Gaga looked a bit shaken as she jumped off the flying piece - not that we can blame her - but we also aren't the ones taking off to space in 2015.

ARTPOP dropped on Nov. 11 and is Gaga's third album.

This cover of 'Wrecking Ball' will rock your world

What happens when rock, pop, and folk all collide into one Miley Cyrus song? An incredible cover of Wrecking Ball.

Sarah Blackwood from pop band Walk Off the Earth, Emily Bones from rock band Anti Queens and Jenni Pleau from folk band Trouble and Daughter teamed up to record an almost a cappella cover of Wrecking Ball.

In a girl's night turned music video, the girls basically dominated the single.

Regardless of how you feel about Miley's crazy antics, this cover will show you just how good Wrecking Ball can get.

And finally ...

Even if you can't carry a beat in a bucket and don't know a treble clef from a crash cymbal, the average ear can clearly hear that Cornel Hrisca-Munn is an amazing drummer.

His abilities become more impressive when you realize that he is missing three of his limbs.

Hrisca-Munn was born in Romania with no forearms and had his leg amputated as a child.

He was adopted by a couple in England and somewhere along the way, began to pick up the sticks.

If you're needing a little inspiration, let this talented and persevering musician rock your world with his impressive cover of the Foo Fighters' Everlong.
