FAU police investigating alleged armed robbery

BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - Florida Atlantic University Police are investigating reports of a armed robbery Monday night at a student's apartment.

The FAU Police Department said it received a report of an alleged armed robbery on the second floor of the University Village Apartments at about 8:30 p.m.

Investigators said three Hispanic men, one of them armed with a handgun, entered a student's apartment.

The robbers took cash and electronics from the room, said authorities.

At noon, a person of interest was being interviewed in the case. Deputy Chief Sean Brammer said this was not a random attack and the victim was specifically targeted.

FAU police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call 561-297-3500.
