Students build house for Habitat for Humanity

LOXAHATCHEE, FL (WFLX)-- Students at Seminole Ridge Community High School are finally done with their class project.

That project involved building a house for Habitat for Humanity.

Students in the school's construction academy started their project in January.

Using donated materials, they built four modules that will be put together to build one house.

On Wednesday morning, the house will be moved from Loxahatchee to Lake Worth.

It'll take two trips to make the process complete.

Crews will first move two modules to the Lake Worth location, then come back to the high school and move the final pieces.

This is the second year the students completed this project that helps Habitat.

The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Once it gets to its location in Lake Worth, members of Habitat for Humanity will take over completion of the roofing, siding, painting and cabinets.

Students from the Royal Palm Beach High School Air Conditioning Academy will install ductwork and AC equipment.

Seminole Ridge's Construction Academy works to produce at least one house per year for Habitat.
