Concerns of concussions & football growing

Do you have concerns about letting your child play football?

(WFLX) - On Friday, a former college football player sued the governing body of college athletics over a failure to inform and protect athletes against concussions.

In a class-action lawsuit, the former fullback for the University of Kansas claims the NCAA failed to protect athletes from the lifelong effects of head trauma.

The lawsuit contends the NCAA knew or should have known the the possible effects of head trauma and done more to protect players.

Legendary quarterback Brett Favre spoke to Today Show's Matt Lauer about football and concussions.

Favre doesn't have a son, but said if he did he would be 'leery' of him playing football in part because of the physical demand.

Last month Favre said he's facing "scary" memory issues linked to on-field concussions.

Favre's interview will air Monday.
