(WFLX) - Plans by the Treasure Coast Food Bank to start giving out turkeys was stopped Monday when its refrigerator truck broke down.
A couple of agencies came by to pick up their allotment, but the major distribution now will be held Tuesday.
The food bank anticipates distributing about 2,500 turkeys to food pantries, soup kitchens and outreach ministries prior to Thanksgiving.
But more help is needed. The food bank is asking for you to donate money, so they can buy more turkeys.
