With the third anniversary of the 2011 mass shooting coming up tomorrow, the January 8th Memorial Foundation has compiled a list of events to honor the day.
Here is the list of events that are taking place across the city:
January 8 at 10:10 a.m. (please arrive early)
What: University of Arizona Medical Center Moment of silence/ringing of bells
Where: University of Arizona Medical Center, 1501 N. Campbell Avenue – front lawn
January 8 at 10 a.m.
What: Northwest Fire District and Pima County Sheriff Dept. Flag Raising Ceremony and Memorial Exhibition reception at Nanini Library immediately following
Where: Pima County Sheriff's Foothills District Office and the Nanini Library, 7300 N Shannon
January 8, evening
What: Resolution by City of Tucson Council on the memorial location
Where: Mayor & Council Chambers City Hall, 1st floor 255 W. Alameda
January 8 at 7 p.m.
What: Church Service, and short presentation Pat Maisch, January 8 shooting survivor
