WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX)-- The Palm Beach Outlets Mall is hosting a career fair Thursday for 1,500 jobs.
Full-time and part-time positions need to be filled before the new 84-acre venue on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard can open Feb. 14.
Thursday's job fair will be held at Northwood University located at 2600 North Military Trail from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Those interested in a job should bring their resume, dress professional and have a positive attitude.
Midge Reichert, the director of career services at Northwood, offered some tips for interested applicants.
"When you're going to a career fair, research the employers that you would like to seek out. If you're going specifically on an interview, research that company. Make sure you understand their mission, their goals, what they're looking for in an employee and how you can bring your knowledge and expertise to the table," said Reichert.
Employers from numerous stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic Factory Store, Gymboree and J.Crew Factory will be interviewing potential candidates.
The general manager of the mall said it will open in two phases. About 100 stores will open in February, while the second phase will be in the fall.
Security cameras will be located near the stores, and call boxes will also be available for shoppers who need help finding their cars.
