SB I-95 reopens in Boynton after flooding

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Interstate 95 South has reopened in Boynton Beach on Friday after flooding, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

In Lantana, the on-ramp is closed on I-95 South at Hypoluxo Road.

In Boynton Beach,  I-95 North reopened at 6:15 a.m. at Boynton Beach Boulevard.

Drivers are advised to stay off the road Friday morning.

There is major flooding throughout Boynton Beach.  About 40 vehicles became disabled overnight and need to be towed.

There is heavy flooding on Gateway Boulevard and Congress Avenue.

The Florida Highway Patrol also reports standing water on the road in both directions on I-95 at mile marker 129.

The National Weather Service has reported that the maximum rainfall totals have exceeded 12 inches near Boynton Beach.
