Pond overflows in Kings Point trapping residents

SUBURBAN DELRAY BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Residents in Kings Point in Delray Beach are having trouble getting into and out of their homes.

A large central pond has overflowed into streets.

As many as 7,000 units might have some type of water damage, property managers say.

Property management is trying to secure all-terrain vehicles to assess the damage and transport residents to and from their homes.

West Palm Beach

As of 8:30 a.m. Friday, there are no reports of significant flooding, according to the city of West Palm Beach. All roads are open.

City officials said there may be some isolated pockets of minor standing water, but nothing that is affecting travel on city roadways. 

The city received about 50 calls reporting flooding during the overnight hours.
