Baby wipes causing scaly red rashes

(WFLX) - There's a new warning about a household product every parent uses -- baby wipes.

According to a new study, the wipes are causing some kids to develop itchy scaly red rashes.

The study, which was published in the "Journal of Pediatrics" says the rash is caused by a chemical that keeps the wipes moist. That ingredient, methylisothiazolinone (MI), is found in more than half of the baby wipes sold in the U.S.
