DeMartin, 70, and his attorneys worked on a plea agreement with the state over the weekend before his trial.

In a Friday hearing, Judge Jeffrey Colbath ordered attorneys on both sides to work out a deal in DeMartin's criminal contempt case or he could see jail time.

DeMartin is accused of withholding information during jury selection in Goodman's DUI manslaughter trial, such as not telling the court his ex-wife had previously been arrested for DUI.

Also, in a self-published book, DeMartin wrote about a drinking experiment he conducted the night before deliberating for Goodman's sentencing.

Ultimately, Goodman's conviction was overturned and a new trial is scheduled for March. DeMartin is facing up to 60 days in jail.
