Chris Stewart joined WFLX in January of 2014. Since then he has grown to become the face of our new show The Now at 6:30 p.m.
Before Chris came to sunny South Florida, he worked as an anchor and reporter in Springfield, Massachusetts where his work was nationally recognized.
He was part of the news team that won the National Edward R. Murrow award for Breaking News in 2011 for coverage of a massive tornado that carved through Western Massachusetts.
Chris also won an Associated Press award for investigating ambulance response times.
While in the "Birthplace of Basketball", Chris covered several Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinements. He interviewed some of the biggest names in the history of hoops like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Scottie Pippen, and Charles Barkley.
Chris attended Penn State University where he majored in journalism and minored in history.
When he's not on the job, Chris is all about following the latest in the world of sports. In the fall you'll find him rooting on the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday (We are!) and the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
