PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - Investigators have identified the drivers involved in a crash that left a woman and two children critically injured.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said a tractor-trailer, driven by Orestes J. Campa, was traveling west on Northlake Boulevard when a Cadillac SUV, driven by 32-year old Kerri Chavez, ran the stop sign at Hall Boulevard Thursday.
Chavez and the children in her vehicle were transported to St. Mary's Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Campa was also hurt, but his injuries were less serious.
Chavez is a teacher at Loxahatchee Groves Elementary.
The Palm Beach County School District released a statement that said in part, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and the entire Loxahatchee Groves Elementary community."
