Juror DeMartin could be released from jail Tuesday

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX)-- UPDATE:Former John Goodman juror Dennis DeMartin was released from jail on Tuesday.

Former John Goodman juror Dennis DeMartin could walk out of jail at anytime on Tuesday.

He would have to post at least 10 percent of his bond, but that may be difficult for the 70-year-old man.

Last Friday in court, he told a judge that he couldn't afford a bond and could lose his Social Security benefits if he stays in jail any longer.

His attorneys want him released on his own recognizance

After the judge denied DeMartin's bond, attorneys went back to the appellate court. The fourth district then overturned the judge's decision Monday.

DeMartin needs to post $750 to be released.

In the meantime, Goodman, the polo mogul who was granted a new DUI manslaughter trial because of DeMartin's misconduct , will be back in court Thursday as his attorneys work to get his case dismissed.
