STUART, FL. – Get ready for a star-spangled evening when multi-platinum country performer Lee Greenwood takes the stage at the Lyric Theatre for two performances Wednesday, Nov. 10. Show times are 6 & 8:30 p.m.; ticket prices are $37.50 and $42.50.
Singer-songwriter Greenwood delivers powerful vocals and electrifying performances that have made him a favorite of country music audiences.
This Grammy, Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association award-winner saw his fame skyrocket when his award-winning patriotic song, "God Bless the U.S.A.," became the unofficial anthem of Americans after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The song has taken Greenwood to the flight decks of aircraft carriers and the cockpit of fighter planes, and earned him awards from the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and the Points of Light Foundation. Following the attacks, "God Bless the U.S.A." topped all other patriotic songs, including "God Bless America" and "The Star-Spangled Banner" in an America Online poll.
An accomplished musician who plays 10 instruments, Greenwood's first three albums achieved gold sales status, along with a compilation of his greatest hits. He also has recorded duets with Barbara Mandrell, including the number 3 hit, "To Me." Greenwood's most recent recording, Stronger than Time, was released late last
