PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (WFLX) - Authorities said a suspicious package found Monday near a school in Palm Beach Gardens turned out to be a box of books.

Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office investigated the package, found near Grove Park Elementary School, for a few hours.

PBSO said officials at the school found the package in the bus loop area and alerted police.

An earlier lockdown has been lifted. Classes and normal operations at the school have resumed as scheduled.
