We are entering a pattern of sunny and warm temperatures as high pressure takes control of the Carolinas. Temperatures are normally in the upper 70s across the upstate and lower 70s in western North Carolina.
The following week will likely see temperatures above normal with the possibility of this trend continuing beyond out seven day forecast! The Climate prediction Center has the Carolinas and northeast Georgia in an area likely to see above normal temperatures in the 6-10 day outlook.
We will start the work week with temperatures making a run at record highs for Monday under sunny skies. Tuesday will remain sunny as well with temperatures in the upper 80s across the upstate and mid-80s in our mountain towns.
Northeast Georgia and the upstate will see highs settled in the mid-80s for the remainder of the week while western North Carolina settles in the lower 80s.
Our next chance of rain will arrive on Saturday with cooler temperatures but still above normal.
