BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible explosion Tuesday morning in the 22,000 block of S.W. 62 Avenue in suburban Boca Raton.
At about 5 a.m., a neighbor heard what she thought was an explosion and windows blown out of a residence.
Chopper 5 video above the scene showed that multiple windows had been blown out.
When crews entered the building, no people were found inside. However, a dog, possibly a pit bull mastiff, was found and is OK.
Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control has been called to take care of the dog. This house appears to be used as a grow house, according to PBSO.
Several homes on SW 62 Ave. and 62nd Court were temporarily evacuated.
Traffic has been blocked on SW 62nd from 61st Ave and SW 3rd Street.
No injuries have been reported at this time. This investigation is ongoing.
