AMBER Alert issued for Riviera Beach toddler

RIVIERA BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Police say a Florida AMBER Alert has been issued for Le-Rail Johnson.

They say he was last seen in the 1100 block of Wright Street in Riviera Beach.

The child may be with Cassandra Edmonds and could be traveling in a 2012, blue Chrysler 300, Minnesota tag number 671KRT.

The child is a 2-year-old African-American boy with black hair and brown eyes. He's about 2 feet tall and weighs 25 pounds.

Cassandra Edmonds is 36, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5'5" and weighs 140 lbs.

If you have any information concerning the whereabouts of Johnson or Edmonds, please contact FDLE or the
Riviera Beach Police Department at 561-845-4123 or 911.

In Florida, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is the only agency that can issue an AMBER Alert if the following five criteria are met:

- The child is under the age of 18.

- There must be clear indication of abduction.

- Law enforcement must think the child's life is in danger.

- There must be a detailed description of the child, possible abductor and vehicle.

- The activation must also be recommended by local police.

"Time is our enemy in urgent cases so obviously the sooner we get the word out the better. The good news here is that we have a good description of the vehicle so the public has something to look for and the public helps us find missing kids," said Nancy McBride with the National Center For Missing & Exploited Children.
