Reward increased for suspect in fatal gas station shooting

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - A reward of up to $50,000 has been posted to find the man who killed 22-year-old Shihab Mahmud on Friday May 30.

He was robbed, shot and killed while working at a Chevron Gas Station in Wellington, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office

Friends said Mahmud, who was from Bangladesh, worked overnights at the gas station while going to school full time at Palm Beach State College during the day.

Mahmud was popular with customers who say he was friendly and driven.

According to the sheriff's office, the suspect is believed to be a black male, 5'08" tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and black shoes.
