WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Residents who live in the south end of West Palm Beach, located near City Hall, are meeting with Mayor Jeri Muoio Thursday night to voice their concerns over safety.
The mayor is expected to hear about crime two days after, police say, someone shot and killed a burglar breaking into their car in that neighborhood. A second burglar is still on the run right now.
Police say, overnight on Monday, there were as many as eight burglaries in that part of the city. Mayor Muoio will meet with people Thursday night at 6:30 at the Palm Beach Zoo.
This meeting was already scheduled before Tuesday's shooting, and now there are even more reason for citizens to bring their concerns to the people at City Hall.
