GM executive responds to reported faulty ignition switches

(WFLX) - General Motor's top executive, Mary Barra, addressed details of an investigative report about the automakers' response to faulty ignition switches.

"First, we will do the right thing for those who were harmed. And second, we will accept responsibility for our mistakes and commit to doing everything within our power to make sure this never happens again."

Mary Barra called the report troubling as she spoke to more than 1,000 GM employees. Barra said the company takes full responsibility for its mistakes and will compensate those who were harmed.
