SEATTLE, WA -

(WMC) – Rap meets the symphony with performance of a 90s dance classic.

The Seattle Symphony's acclaimed Sonic Evolution project brings the symphony together with pop music, and who better to collaborate with than Seattle's own Sir Mix-A-Lot.

The Seattle Symphony posted a video of part of the performance to YouTube on Saturday, June 7. In three days the video was watched more than 1.5 million times.

According to the post, "composer Gabriel Prokofiev also orchestrated two of the legendary rapper's most famous hits for this year's concert, including 'Baby Got Back,' for which Sir Mix-A-Lot joined Ludovic Morlot and the Orchestra on stage at Benaroya Hall."

Sir Mix-A-Lot was joined on stage by ladies from the audience and as seen in the video they were very excited about the performance!
