TALLAHASSEE, FL (WFLX) - Florida's school voucher program is no longer just for low income families. It's been expanded to now include the middle class.
This comes at a cost to tax payers and, some say, public schools will pay the ultimate price. The governor signed the bill, expanding vouchers so those who earn more than $60,000 a year could receive partial scholarships.
More than 110,000 students have already applied for the fall semester.
