JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - Five people, whose vessel turned over five miles off the Jupiter Inlet, were rescued Monday morning by the Coast Guard.

Officials said the five people are in good shape.

As of 10:20 a.m., they remain on board a Coast Guard vessel, and the incident is part of a law enforcement investigation.

Coast Guard station Miami said around 4:45 a.m., the Palm Beach Police Department received a call that the boat capsized about six miles southeast off the Jupiter Inlet.

Small boats were sent from Coast Guard stations in Lake Worth and Fort Pierce, as well as a helicopter from Miami, to assist in the rescue.
