PHILADELPHIA (WTXF/FOX) - A woman turned herself in to police Monday after she was caught on camera savagely beating one of her coworkers in front of the victim's 2-year-old son.

Police said Latia Harris beat up 27-year-old Catherine Ferriera as onlookers recorded cell phone video.

Witnesses and other coworkers said the fight started over a rumor in the workplace.

Since the attack last week, Harris spent at least four days hiding out in Philadelphia.

"We were looking for Ms. Harris over the weekend," said Salem Police Chief John Pelura. "I think they were getting really close. I think she had no other option than to turn herself in."

The video went viral on social media sites but was pulled down due to its graphic nature.

Ferriera suffered a concussion, a broken nose and several severe bruises.

"Somebody should have stopped her," said Salem resident Anthony Stanback. "Somebody should have called the cops. I feel sorry for the kid to see something like that."
