NEW BRIGHTON, MN (WFLX) - A Good Samaritan is being called a hero with superhuman strength after rescuing a driver from a burning SUV on a Minnesota freeway.
"He bent the door with his bare hands. That was him. It was no tool. He went [crack]. It shattered the glass, and they were able to pull me out," says onlooker Mike Johannes.
The victim pulled his SUV over when he noticed smoke. Turns out the fire disabled his locks and the man was stuck in his SUV, until Bob Renning bent the door frame.
Renning is familiar with rescues; he is a first sergeant with the Air National Guard.
