Son of Cleveland Councilman is arrested for felonious assault

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Third District Detectives are currently  investigating a felonious assault which occurred at about 3 a.m. in the area of 1437 St. Clair near the Vada Restaurant & Lounge.

While on patrol in the area, a Cleveland officer observed two males arguing in the street.

The officer detained both males and noticed that one of them was bleeding from the forehead.

29-year-old Bryan McIntosh told police that he had been struck in the head with a hammer during an altercation.

McIntosh was conveyed to MetroHealth by EMS and treated for a laceration.

The other male, the son of a Cleveland councilman, was arrested in connection with the felonious assault.  He has not been charged.

Detectives will continue to investigate the incident.
