NEW YORK (WFLX) - Frankea Dabbs, the woman accused of abandoning her baby at a New York subway station, told police she is homeless and couldn't handle being a mother.
A witness says she saw the 20-year-old woman push the baby stroller out of subway car, just before the doors closed. The witness stayed with the 10-month-old baby for 20-minutes, thinking the mother would come back. Eventually she called police and the baby was taken to a hospital.
The baby is doing fine.
