BAKER COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - In a small town outside of Jacksonville, two teens are facing charges. Their own parents are the ones who turned them in!
After hearing about a robbery at the local convenience store, the couple said they had a gut feeling about who was behind it. The surveillance video confirmed their suspicions, and the parents didn't hesitate to point the finger of blame.
"This absolutely does not happen very often, as a matter of fact, I would say it's extremely rare. But it's gonna take folks, like doing what they did, to make a difference and stop some of the things that we are seeing in our community as it relates to violence and young people," said Major Gerald Gonzalez of the Baker County Sheriff's Office.
The mom and dad say they did it to teach their kids a lesson on right and wrong.
