TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida's political landscape is being upended by a landmark legal ruling.

A circuit judge ruled late Thursday that the state Legislature illegally drew the Florida's congressional districts to primarily benefit the Republican Party.

But on the day after the ruling, there remained lots of questions about what would happen next.

It appeared initially that any fallout from the decision would not happen until the 2016 elections. But so far, legislative leaders have refused to say if they will appeal the ruling.

David King, a lawyer representing the groups that sued the Legislature, said it would be wrong to allow the 2014 elections to go forward with illegally drawn districts.

He said groups will ask the judge next week to decide soon how to comply with the decision.
