Friends search for more clues in Chesterfield woman's disappearance

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

A Chesterfield woman is still missing as her friends take their search for answers into their own hands. It's been nearly two months since anyone has seen Zulma Pabon, leaving many questions for those close to the young mother. Now, her friends are hitting the streets to find her.

They believe there is someone out there who knows something, so friends of the missing 26 year old who doing their part to bring their loved one home. They're on a mission to get answers.

"We're out here where nobody lives. No one knows anybody out here but we're looking for Zulma," said Chalyn Spain.

Her friends are canvassing the Greenleigh Mobile Home community in Chester. That's where officers found her white Nissan Altima parked in a driveway two days after she went missing.

"Each day that goes by, I just want to do something and make sure something is being done and I know Chesterfield is doing as much as they can but I know they need help too," Spain added.

Officers gave Mabon's friends a map of the community and information to leave with neighbors.

"I'm seeing a lot of people want to help. That family kind of seem shocked," said Elvin Sanchez after knocking on a door.

William Porter lives in the neighborhood and believes he saw Pabon's car.

"It was parked going into the park instead of coming out, which I thought was strange," he said.

It's clues like these Pabon's friends and family are hoping for, as they hold on to hope their loved one is coming home.

"Seven weeks in, you don't know what the outcome is going to be but you can be hopeful," Spain said.

The day after Pabon went missing, the man she lives with - and the father of their child - was seen walking into their home minutes after someone saw her car leaving. Police don't consider him a suspect, and right now, there are no suspects in this case.
