Lanes reopen NB I-95 in Fellsmere after fatal rollover accident

SEBASTIAN, FL (WFLX) - All lanes have reopened on I-95 at mile marker 158 after a deadly rollover accident.

Previously: One person was killed and five others traveling in the same vehicle were injured after it rolled over outside the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in northern Indian River County Thursday morning, Indian River Fire Rescue said.

The single-car accident occurred about 10:45 a.m. at mile marker 158, north of the Sebastian/Fellsmere exit.

All northbound lanes were closed as of 11:40 a.m. and traffic was backing up.

One person was flown to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, firefighters said. The remaining four people from the vehicle were being treated at local hospitals.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
